FORVIA announces the appointment of Thorsten Muschal as Executive Vice President of FORVIA Interiors

Effective February 1, Thorsten Muschal is appointed Executive Vice President of FORVIA Interiors. Based at FORVIA’s headquarters in France, he will be responsible for the development and performance of the Interiors business group on a global scale. He is taking over from Jean-Paul Michel, who has decided to leave the group.

Thorsten Muschal joined Faurecia in 1992 and has held various leadership positions, particularly in sales management and industrial operations. He has led multiple regions and business divisions, including the North American market and the Exteriors business. He has also played a key role in the Group's commercial strategy and customer relations development.

He studied at the Universities of Giessen and Bielefeld in Germany and holds the "Diplom Kaufmann degree". He is also involved in several strategic automotive industry bodies. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Faurecia Automotive GmbH in Germany and has been a member of HELLA’s Supervisory Board since 2021. From 2020 to 2023, he served as President of CLEPA, the European Association of Automotive Suppliers.
