Our Corporate Social Responsibility activities through the FORVIA Corporate Foundation

FORVIA is a member of the community in each region where we operate worldwide. We want to strengthen our commitment to local communities by initiating or contributing to projects and programs that address local needs, and by offering expertise and resources in support of such efforts. Our societal engagement approach is based on local economic development, and local solidarity actions as initiated by employees through the FORVIA Corporate Foundation.

The FORVIA Corporate Foundation puts significant resources into supporting employee-led projects. The FORVIA Corporate Foundation focuses on three pillars: mobility, environment, and education. Every year, employees are invited to submit ideas for projects that will have a concrete social impact in their community. The Foundation also coordinates the volunteering missions carried out by FORVIA employees in their communities and has forged five long-term partnerships with NGOs and foundations recognized for their societal actions.

Since its establishment in 2020, the Foundation has financed 35 employee-led projects that have benefitted more than 4,000 individuals in countries including India, Mexico, Morocco, France, Italy, Romania, Spain, Germany, Portugal, China, and the United States.

Solidarity Hub: our volunteering platform

To develop its societal impact and facilitate employee engagement, the Group is deploying a digital tool that will centralize solidarity actions offered by FORVIA throughout the year. Launched in 2021, the Solidarity Hub also offers volunteer work with non-profit organizations on personal time, bridging the gap between employees’ desire to act and the volunteering missions offered by local charities.

Learn about our projects

In 2022, the FORVIA Corporate Foundation distributed a total of €700,000 in support of 21 employee-led projects. Below are a few examples of these projects.

Education:

• “Library without borders” – France
  Collection of books among employees & implementation of a micro-library in a disadvantaged region
• Mekong Girls scholarships – Vietnam
  Financing scholarships & material to provide a brighter future for schoolgirls in Mekong

Mobility:

• Solidarity cars – Czech Republic
  Financing minivans for 3 associations helping children with disabilities
• Happy & safe outside – Romania
  Road safety training and social activities to improve inclusion of children with disabilities

Environment:

• Go green training – Slovakia
  Helping the transformation of a primary school to eco-friendly practices and training
• Refauresta – Mexico
  Reforestation venture redistributing its benefits to a children’s charity
